Jackie Tyler was associated with The Doctor between “Rose” and “Doomsday”.

Jackie was a widow since her daughter, Rose, was only six months old. She had brought her up on her own, in a council flat. She had a series of boyfriends who didn’t work out. Her first reaction to The Doctor was to try to ‘pull’ him but he rebuffed her. Later, she punched him for keeping Rose away from her for a year. From there, a grudging respect for him developed. By the Sycorax invasion at Christmas she had started to display a certain affection for him, accepting the new look Doctor much more easily. By the time Rose and The Doctor returned to deal with the Cybermen invasion she actually kissed him. When she met the alternative unit Pete, who had lost his own Jackie to the Cybermen, she had the only man she had ever loved back again. She and Pete, with Rose and Jackie escaped to the alternative universe Earth. Pete and Jackie were having another baby together.

Jackie returned with Mickey and Rose to help The Doctor prevent the Daleks from destroying all life in every universe. When it was over, she revealed that she and Pete have a little boy called Tony.

Jackie was briefly seen with Rose on New Years Day, 2005, when the dying Doctor came to see them both one last time with his Tenth incarnation's eyes.

Camille Coduri (born 1966 in Wandsworth, London) featured in the film comedies Nuns on the Run (1990) and King Ralph (1991). She has also appeared extensively on British television, appearing in guest roles in episodes of series such as Rumpole of the Bailey, Boon, A Touch of Frost and in the BBC's 1997 adaptation of Henry Fielding's novel The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling. She appeared in BBC Three's six-part drama series Sinchronicity in 2006. Jackie Tyler in Doctor Who was, so far, her most famous and iconic role.

Camille won the Doctor Who themed episode of The Weakest Link, first aired on 30 March 2007. She was the Weakest Link a few times and almost got voted out in two tied situations, both of which she survived. The prize money she won, £16,550, was split between two charities, one for Multiple Sclerosis and one for child carers.

Camille married actor Christopher Fulford in 1992. They have two children, Rosa (born 1993) and Sonny (born 1996).
