Victoria Travelled with the Doctor between The Evil of the Daleks and Fury from the Deep.

Victoria was a refined Victorian English girl. She was orphaned when the Daleks murdered her father, scientist Edward Waterfield. She decided to travel with the Doctor, who became very much a surrogate father to her. Jamie, meanwhile became something of a brother role in her life. Both came from pre-technological periods of Earth history, but Victoria found it harder than Jamie to adjust in many ways. She retained her Victorian values at all times and often seemed to be a damsel in distress character, needing to be rescued from the clutches of the monsters. Her piercing scream was the downfall of the seaweed creatures of Fury From The Deep. After the trauma of that adventure she decided to stay in 1960s England with the Harris family who she met during those events. The Doctor and Jamie reluctantly let her go.

Deborah Watling was born on January 2nd, 1948 at Fulmer Chase in Buckinghamshire

She also starred in Alice, Dennis Potter's version of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, for the BBC's The Wednesday Play strand in 1965 and in the series Danger UXB in 1979.

Deborah played Victoria in Doctor Who from 1967 to 1968, as well as appearing in Dimensions in Time (1993) and Downtime (1995). Her father Jack Watling appeared in Doctor Who as Professor Travers in the serials The Abominable Snowmen and The Web of Fear as well as Downtime. Her sister Dilys and her brother Giles are also actors.

Deborah has also appeared in the Doctor Who audio drama, Three's a Crowd and regularly attends Doctor Who conventions and events, where she meets fans and speaks about her time on the programme, but her acting career is mainly in reparatory theatre.
