Mr Finch is the leader of the group of thirteen Krillitane who infiltrated Defry Vale School. He retained the Human-like form when his comrades took on bat-form after the defeat of Bessan. His is a carnivore who eats those children he thinks won’t be missed. His ambition is to crack the Skasis Paradigm and allow the Krillitane to become Gods. When he tries to get The Doctor to join him in this endeavour he becomes something of Satan tempting Christ. The Doctor, of course, refuses his promise of glory and it becomes a fight to the death between the Krillitane and The Doctor and his Human friends.

Death – Finch and the Krillitane are killed when K9 explodes the deadly – to Krillitanes - oil all over them. The school kitchen subsequently blows up and presumably there are no survivors.
