The Steward is the senior servant in a Scottish manor house. Sir Robert McLeish’s steward is a strong-willed man who stands firm against Father Angelo, but finds the odds against him when the peaceful monks turn into a formidable fighting force. Later, he stands alongside Sir Robert and Captain Reynolds in fighting the werewolf, and believes the creature to be dead despite The Doctor telling him that bullets won’t stop it.

Death – He is so confident the creature is dead that he turns his back on it. The werewolf plucks him off his feet and the last of him to be heard is a blood-curdling scream.
