The Sycorax are humanoid types with bone-faces concealed under helmets. They are a militant race with a semblance of ‘battle honour’ about them, although they have been known to cheat. They use technology that has the appearance of magic, including blood control and travel the universe in space ships built of hollowed out asteroids looking for rich worlds to conquer and plunder. They come from the JX82 system, where they lived on a large asteroid called Fire Trap (possibly the English translation of Sycorax) When a spaceship crashed on the asteroid they scavenged the technology and made an armada of asteroid ships that could travel the universe. The armada orbits a planet called the Jewel of Staa Crafell when not out in space scavenging.
