Tommy Connolly is a bright boy with prospects, but he is constantly put down by his father. His Aunt Betty, possibly his father’s sister, hints that he is gay and a comment later, to his father, about fighting for the right to love who he likes, suggests it might be true. But whether he is or not, he is intelligent enough to guess that his father is the informant. He helps The Doctor to defeat The Wire and later, as his father is leaving the street he goes to try to make up with him.
