Name – Pyrovile
Species – living magma creatures
Planet – Pyrovilia
Temperament – Ambitious
Appearances – Fires of Pompeii

The Pyrovile have a stone skin held together by living magma. Their shape slightly resembles roman gladiators. Their ship fell to Earth, shattering them into dust four thousand years before the fall of Pompeii. The 62 AD earthquake caused by Vesuvius re-awakened them, and they possessed human hosts in nearby Pompeii. These hosts helped the few adult Pyrovilia who had survived to construct an energy conversion matrix. They planned to use Vesuvius's lava to conquer Earth and power the conversion of the whole human race into adult Pyrovilia, and thus replace their lost homeworld of Pyrovilia. Throwing even a small amount of water over them is fatal, since it causes their magma to cool.

Death: The Pyroviles were all destroyed in the AD 79 eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
