Name – Quintus
Quintus is the feckless teenage son of Metella and Caecilius. He likes wine and vestal virgins, although there is no evidence he has had any of the latter. He spends a lot of time with a hangover, suggesting he gets plenty of the former. He is bored with life in Pompeii, and fed up of hearing about how wonderful his sister is. He proves himself when he attacks the Pyrovile with water and saves the family home. The Doctor, as he so often does, encouraged Quintus to rise above himself and show some courage, which may be why he decided to become a doctor after the family moved to Rome.
Quintus, of course, survived the destruction of Pompeii with his family thanks to The Doctor’s help.
