Carol is less affected by the Sensorites than Maitland. She is engaged to John and is very anxious about his illness. She goes to the city with The Doctor and companions to try to get help for him. She is a bright, friendly woman when she is less anxious. She accidentally gives away the fact that the Sensorites are hard to tell apart which allows the Administrator to kidnap and kill the Second Elder to take his place.
