Craddock was a prisoner on the Dalek ship. Ian and The Doctor share a cell with him. It is he who explains to them how the Daleks managed to conquer the Earth. Craddock is convinced there is no hope for them, but The Doctor formulates a plan to escape. It almost works but they are all captured again. Ian and Craddock are let out of the cell by the rebels who attack the ship, but Craddock is separated from him in the confusion.

Death – Later, Ian and Larry are attacked by Craddock, now converted to a Roboman. They kill him and put his body in the disposal chute.
