No.1 was the Commander’s first officer and did his bidding, poisoning the water in the aqueduct and capturing The Doctor and his companions when they came into the cave system. When The Doctor led them all out of the caves the Sensorites took them prisoner but only in order to cure them of their insanity, caused by the psychic aura of the planet.
