Kert Gantry was a Space Security agents on Kembel, looking for Marc Cory. He was wounded, and asked Vyon to leave him because he was slowing him down. Vyon reluctantly did so. Gantry carried on through the jungle, scared and in pain.

Gantry was killed when he stumbles upon the Daleks and makes them chase him to buy his friend, Vyon, time. They cut him down with their lasers.
