Name – The Laird, Colin McLaren,
The Laird, Colin McLaren, was the leader of a small group of fighting Highlanders who made it alive from the Battle of Culloden – where many others of their race perished. They made it as far as a cottage where his wounds were treated. They were captured there by Lieutenant Ffinch and sold by Solictor Grey to Trask for transportation to the West Indies as slaves. On board the Annabelle, the slave ship, McLaren, though injured, was able to help rebel against the plan. He was one of the survivors who set off for France in the Annabelle under its restored captain.
