Jack was best known as the voice of "Nelson Gabriel" in the long running BBC Radio 4 series The Archers. In his TV career he was also Adam Adamant's valet. His contribution to Doctor Who was as General Hermack in the 1969 Second Doctor Story. The Space Pirates.
