Australian John Lee played Alydon, leader of the Thal expeditionary force which tried to negotiate peace with the Daleks in the very first Dalek story in 1963. In later life he was known for roles in the cult Australian series, Prisoner: Cell Block H and as Len Mangel in Neighbours.
