"Life on earth can be an adventure too, you just need to know where to look".

I'll be honest when I first heard about this I was worried it was gonna be terrible, I thought it would be too childish and Sarah's character would be made into some kind of joke, I was wrong, this new series looks like it's gonna be amazing!

So Invasion Of the bane then lets see, The premise of this episode reminded me of an episode of Futurama I once saw where a strange addictive new drink with mysterious ingredients was sweeping the country and the gang investigated the factory to find out what was in it and eventually discovering that it was made from alien slime, not unlike the secret ingredients in the supposedly organic Bubbleshock, Organic! Hah! Nothing organic is fizzy!

Still lets ignore that because I thought it was very well done in this episode, It's good to see Sarah still investigating and it's obvious the second she meets Mrs Wormwood she doesn’t trust her, That was a very well played Scene between the two actors, very cool!

Elisabeth Sladen is back on top form as Sarah Jane, it's good to see she's not lost the emotions of Sarah Jane's character, anyone who thinks she's too old for it now needs to have a serious rethink, she was amazing in this. It's clear that Sarah Jane still misses the doctor and still has issues there, I hope they will touch on that more when the series starts properly, I loved the bit with K9 by the way, The poor little doggie's all stuck in a black hole [that scene was again played excellently by Elisabeth],

I hope K9 comes back in the future but I think it’s safe to say now Elisabeth can definitely carry a show without the metal dog as a sidekick. Anyone who said she couldn’t better be eating their words right now.

So the younger cast then, I liked Maria, I thought she was very cool and inquisitive, a bit like a young Sarah Jane actually, I liked Luke, I thought his story was very sweet, I didn’t like Kelsey though, I think she's arrogant and rude and pushy, I for one hope they get rid of her.

Mrs Wormwood was an excellent character too, a completely evil being who turns out to be alien, classic! It’s just like Doctor Who!

This Episode was excellent on all levels, I’m even willing to overlook the annoying Kelsey because the rest of it totally made up for it, The Torchwood crossover at the beginning was great but I doubt they'll be anything more to that as it's a show for younger audiences, I loved the bit with Sarah in the bus! That was so cool! What was that she said about going in all guns blazing! Oh and Sonic lipstick! How cool is that, she is officially soniced up!!

The whole story with Luke I thought was lovely, Sarah Jane has a son now, that’s so sweet, and the little references to the Brigadier and Harry were excellent, it's good that there were references for us older fans not just the youngsters, I hope that continues.

I for one cannot wait for the whole series to start, Sarah Jane Smith is back, and if this episode is any indication of things to come, it's gonna be a great adventure!

And one more thing, it’s so much better than K9 and Company!
