Jasmine Pierce was a very unhappy, lonely child, bullied at school and at home. Her mother did her best, but her boyfriend, Roy, disliked the girl and took every opportunity to be mean to her.

But Jasmine was a Chosen One of the creatures called fairies. They had selected her to join them in their immortality, and until she could do so, they protected her. They killed Goodson the child molester who tried to hurt her, and Roy, when he hit her. They also attacked the two school bullies who had made her life a misery.

Finally, Jasmine went with the fairies and was never seen again except as one of the smiling flower fairies in the Cottingley Glass Plate photo.
