Lynn Pierce endeavoured to be a good mother to her daughter, Jasmine, but it all seemed to go wrong. She didn’t seem to realise that her daughter was bullied at school or that Roy, her boyfriend, was also being cruel to Jasmine. She was left bereft and grieving when Roy was killed and Jasmine went away with the fairies to what, for her, was a better life.
