Ed Morgan was a scumbag from the beginning. As a young man in the 1950s he raped and killed Lizzie Lewis for kicks. But the weight of guilt preyed on him all his life and by the time the Torchwood crew caught up with him he was a paranoid recluse living a sad, miserable life in a house that hadn’t been redecorated since the early 1970s. Bernie Harris was blackmailing him, and Owen made him extremely nervous when he, also, made it known that he knew Ed’s terrible secret.

Death: Ed Morgan finally left his home, goaded by Bernie, with the intent of killing him. Instead, caught by Torchwood, he killed himself by pulling the knife Gwen was holding onto himself.
