Jack's father was called Franklyn, but little else is known about him apart from that. He seems to be a strict but loving father. He trusted the care of his younger son to Jack, his eldest, when the feared enemy attacked their home on the Boeshane peninsula.

Death: Franklyn was found by young Jack, shot through the heart, outside their home.

Demetri Goritsas was born in Eugene, Oregon, USA. He was from Greek and Norwegian parentage. Although born in the US, he grew up in British Columbia and has lived his adult life in London, England.

He attended Prince George Secondary School in British Columbia, Canada and studied acting at the Central School of Speech & Drama in London, England.

Aside from television and film he's had quite a presence on the London stage performing at the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Court working with such acclaimed writers as Edward Albee, John Guare and Rebecca Gilman as well with directors Ian Rickson, Jack O'Brien and Anthony Page.
