Carole Ann Ford never really got the breaks after Doctor Who. She seemed very much to have been typecast as ‘Susan’. She did have a fairly successful career in the theatre before having her second daughter in 1977. But while making a commercial as part of her return to TV acting she had an accident and was ill for some time afterwards. She has done very little acting work since, although she has always kept up with the Convention scene and taken part in several commentaries and documentaries about Doctor Who.
