BEFORE Doctor Who - Melora in Deep Space Nine

Daphne's career since the Doctor Who Movie of 1996 has been a varied one. It included one off parts in TV programmes such as Diagnosis: Murder, JAG and CSI as well as a long running part in a teen TV show, The OC (Orange County) as the mother of two of the leading characters. She also made a DVD of her visit to the UK, in which she attended Doctor Who conventions and talked about her role in the 1996 movie. She has also appeared in Big Finish Audio productions with Paul McGann and one of Big Finish’s NON-Doctor Who productions, Dark Shadows: The Book of Temptation.

She is one of a handful of actors who have appeared in both Doctor Who and one of the Star Trek franchises. Before the Doctor Who movie she was Melora in an episode of Deep Space Nine.
