Mr Sin in Doctor Who - Talons of Weng Chiang

Deep Roy (born Gurdeep Mohinda Purba) was born in Nairobi, Kenya, Africa but is of Indian descent. His father, a business man in Nairobi, moved his family to England when Deep was six years old. He began a career in showbusiness as a stand up comedian but moved into TV and films where his short stature was called upon in many different character parts. He was several uncredited parts in Star Wars, including ewoks and also playing RTD2 when the original actor, Kenny Baker was not available. His most recent roll was as ALL the Umpa Loompas in the Johnny Depp remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He now liives in Santa Monica, California.
