John Levene quit acting altogether after his role as Sergeant Benton was written out of the series. He set up his own audio visual company, Genesis Communications, and has directed audio visuals and live events for various clients including Ford Motor Company, British Airways, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Amway and Revlon. He returned to the role of Benton for the straight to video unofficial spin off UNIT story “Wartime” and since moving to the USA has had a few small acting roles. He is listed in IMDB as playing the part of The Reverend Bernie Shanks in the forthcoming Horror film, Satan Hates You. He takes part in selected Conventions and events.
